How are we doing bud? Feel like I haven’t sean you in a hot minute! Hang in there; you’re in the home stretch now!

These have been a wild two weeks, huh? From slices of cake, to planes, automobiles- maybe we’ll even see a train in these last few hours? May as well add a submersible/boat to the list while we’re at it! This part was a fun one, even if the minimal connections caused some headache along the way. Truly, though, I feel we’ve barely dived beneath the surface! So far I’ve counted 36 unique uses, and yet it feels like we could be going on for eternity. Thankfully for myself- and for my sleep schedule that has been shot to 9th layer of hell so mach as to put convention nights to shame- this ends tonight (well, it still feels like night). It’s been a pleasure to compete with you; not against you, but alongside you! May the best builder prevail!

Roll for Initiative!

I think the term “engineer” is a generous title for my position compared to your job- I’m sure the skills of your field dwarf mine. The quality of that airship definitely explains where you’ve been the last couple of days!

Personally, though, I like to keep my work and hobbies separate; while you’ve been designing aircraft, I’ve been exploring the depths of a dungeon. But enough roleplay: we only have a few days left, and it’s time to take initiative! I’ve been taking it easy on you the last couple of builds, but it’s time to roll up my sleeves and begin my final build. See you Saturday, and best of luck in the final days!

Lovely microscope! I don’t know about you, but now that we’ve had plenty of time for the round to sink in, I’ve been feeling quite drained. Believe it or not, though, we only have a few days left; hopefully you aren’t feeling b-rushed!

Live Iron Builder Reaction

Sorry, I got carried away in a brainstorming session. Love those powerlines; the fork connection looks a bit sketchy but is quite clever! When first opening this piece, I was a bit skeptical at first. Turns out there’s a whole lot of room to play with connections after all! Don’t pencil in this as a win yet, though; it’ll take more than cool connections to get the judges to note- ice.

I hope you aren’t as lost as the protagonist of this build. Don’t worry if you are, though; there’s always a mouse around to guide the way! Myself? Anyone who’s familiar with my photo stream will know mushrooms and I go a long way back. So as we started tinkering, imagine my de-light when I found that it makes a great fantastical mushroom!

Who will-ow win this round? We’ll leaf it to the judges to decide in just a few weeks, but in the meantime, let’s put on a show!

Electrocutioner

Four builds in a row is electric, but where’s the thunderous applause? If you’re underestimating my power, then you’re in for a shock. All it takes is a spark to ignite my fuse and you’re toast. You’re about to get jolted into reality, and there’s no way to turn off this current. It’s time to meet your Judge, Jury, and ELECTROCUTIONER.

Oh deer, you really thought you had the heart for this? Nice work matching my speed, meat clanker — though I noticed you stag-gering behind there for a moment. Despite your efforts, I’m afraid it was all in vein. I’d tell you to follow your instincts, but they seem to fawn over failure. Don’t buck up now — it would behoove you to accept defeat gracefully before I really split your heart in two.

Cute! Just saw that garden hose at the store, it was 95% off from 2.50€… I prefer sticking to higher quality gear but you do you Les briques de Loïc. I’ll let you wake up and smell the roses while I get back to cooking. Yummy!

Another build with just an hour to go. Not such a mystery but plenty of detail to examine with a magnifying glass. It’s curtains for us then Bousker. It’s been an honour.

This build really got my motor running, but I’m just scraping the surface of this part’s potential: I’ve got a hole lot more ideas on my bucket list. Season’s Greetings! (Scene Version)

I’ll admit, I was hobbling for a bit there, but then a nice little conductor took me on a ride! I may be “Miscellana”-builds, but there are a few niches I find myself coming back to time and time again. Characters? Of coruse! Interiors/Exterior scenes? You got it! Micro Star Wars ships? Every once in a while, yeah. Christmas… well, it’s summer, so I don’t know what you expect me to do…

…Of course I’m doing a Christmas build! And depending on how you look at it, you could consider it two Christmas builds …

I commend you, Geneva; you have (unsurprisingly) done a spectacular job and shown why you could be the next Iron Builder! That being said, I’ve been training for this for years now, and I’m al-rail-dy to claim the throne! While I may have had the first laugh (6 laughs, if you count them), I give you the chance for the last! You can dle-ay your post, but you can’t delay the end… once the 10 PM bell rings, it’s all in the hands of the judges!

And with that, I shall bow and take my leave! This past fortnight (great, that’s stuck in my head now) has been both exhilarating and exhausting, but you know what they say; don’t be sorry it happened, be happy it’s over! I hope I’ve given a few people some solid bingos, and if not, there’s always next time!

“While you play with your toys”… Geneva, we’re in a Lego competition, we’re both playing with over-glorified toys.

You might think you’re in the lead, but check your rearview mirrors, mate… I’m right behind you! The end is nearly u-pawn us; is it making your heart in your chess pound yet? Anyway, I am certain we both have a few more builds up our sleeves- with my experience in Iron Forge, I’m no rookie when it comes to speed building, and you seem quite a-queen-ted as well.

We still have just under 52 hours left, and the knight’s still young. I’ve done myself a bit of shopping and am ready to get the ball rolling on my last build. Let’s give the audience one hecc of a finale, Geneva!

Wheel, wheel, wheel, wheel… so you’ve pulled ahead. And in style… I love those waves, and that jeep… just… wow. You’ve really illustrated why you could be the next Iron Builder. Royal Guard TIE Advanced

Very snazzy rocket you got there! It looks like it could go quite far in the universe… although with the Empire around, I don’t think it will have the chance beyond it’s maiden voyage. Better climb aboard your starship and head for the skies!

This round has been flying by, and while there is no clear winner yet, I can assure you there won’t be a TIE, as only one of us can advance. I am already making preparations to protect the throne; after all, every ruler needs their Royal Guard! And if you win, I’ll subcontract them out to you; just make sure to give me a W2 (and no, that’s no droid).

I’m afraid wishful thinking has clouded your judgment: most of your entries have felt more like works in progress than finished builds to me. Don’t worry about it though, I’m sure you’ll still get an A for effort! And now, after two weeks of building up the suspense, it’s time to reveal my final build and say goodbye to this round and to you, Mr Maxxwell. May the best win! Although I think we both already know who that is 😉 This throne is quite comfortable and I won’t mind keeping it a little longer.
